Head Weaver

Job Summary:
The Head Weaver is responsible for reporting directly to the Administrative Director and oversees the Weavery at Camphill Village Minnesota serving individuals with developmental differences.
Contributions and Responsibilities include:
creating a positive and productive workspace for weavers of diverse abilities
leading multiple weaving workshops each week (2.5 hours/workshop)
providing individualized supports in the set-up, design, creation and completion of projects on the looms
managing the equipment, inventory, budget, and supplies of the CVM Weavery
participating in regular training for work with vulnerable adults
providing feedback on the participation of weavers on at least an annual basis
facilitating sales of woven creations within and outside of the community
training, collaborating with, and serving as a resource to Weavery Assistants
Required Skills/Abilities:
Experience working with diverse/vulnerable populations preferred.
Experience warping and weaving with floor looms.
Understanding of the qualities of diverse fiber types.
Salary, Benefits and Schedule: The Head Weaver position is a part-time position with a maximum of 18 hours working primarily Monday through Friday with availability for an occasional work outside the normal business hours. We are offering a pay range of $18 - $20/hr. based on experience. Required training provided.
The Head Weaver is not required to live in the community.
